The mission of Network for New Music is to commission and perform a diversity of new musical works of the highest quality by both established and emerging composers; to strengthen the new music community in the Philadelphia region; and to build support for new music by engaging in artistic and institutional collaborations, as well as educational activities. Network is recognized for its excellent performances, innovative programming, in-depth education programs and cross-genre collaborations with other art forms — all created with the purpose of enriching the life of the greater cultural community and supporting the important work of musicians and composers. Network for New Music, which The Philadelphia Inquirer has called the city's "premier new music organization" presents passionate, meticulously rehearsed performances of music by emerging and established composers from the United States and abroad.

The Network for New Music Ensemble will premiere a new work by Stephen Jaffe for violin, viola, bass, flute, guitar, harp, and percussion. The newly-commissioned work is rooted in the history of our city, connecting audiences with the rich musical life of past and present Philadelphia. A major new commission by Grawemeyer Award-winning composer and Krzywicki favorite , Sebastian Currier, will premiere with Krzywicki conducting.
